Thank you for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself. I am a clinical psychologist who takes pride in meeting the diverse needs of my clientele by conducting therapy in an active, goal-oriented, and collaborative manner. I will strive to keep you motivated and engaged in every step of the dynamic therapy process as I truly believe that you are the expert of your life. My goal is to help you develop and use your inner resources to take the leading role in reaching your goals and creating the life you desire.

I predominantly use a cognitive behavioral approach which guides you in exploring how your thoughts/beliefs, feelings and behaviors work together to determine your life experiences. Together, we will identify destructive patterns of thoughts and behaviors that stop you from having the life you want and replace them with constructive and self-affirming ways of thinking and behaving. Longer-term, insight oriented approaches are also incorporated when appropriate.

I approach therapy from a holistic health perspective and will incorporate strategies that promote the integration of your psychological, emotional, physical, and spiritual health, often including relaxation and meditation techniques in treatment.

My areas of specialty are: eating and weight issues (including eating disorders and body image concerns), depression, anxiety and stress management, relationship issues (including communications skills and assertiveness training), and life adjustment issues (including difficulty adjusting to life transitions).

Therapy is your opportunity to make changes in your life happen. I call my practice “Tranquil Haven” because it will serve as your own private retreat for psychological growth.
